How to manually complete the arc of H-shaped steel

For composite H-beams, the web or flange is cut into an arc, and after assembly, it naturally becomes a bent H-beam.

2. For the bending of rolled section steel or assembled H-section steel, two processes are used based on the ratio of bending radius to the bent section. If the ratio is greater than a certain value, cold bending/tensile bending can be performed.

3. If the ratio is less than a certain value, hot bending can only be used.

The specific value of the ratio is related to the processes of each factory. If the tensile bending can be achieved beyond the yield point without local warping/wrinkling of the cross-section during the bending process, it can be bent, otherwise it can only be hot bent.
