Hebei Boosts the Digital Transformation of the Steel Industry

The Hebei Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently issued the "Special Action Plan for Digital Transformation of the Hebei Iron and Steel Industry (2020-2022)", aiming to promote the transformation and upgrading of the steel industry and achieve high-quality development of H-beam steel with high industrial standards.

According to the plan, by 2022, the Hebei steel industry will basically form a new digital development pattern supported by big data, digital workshops, full process intelligent manufacturing, and industry cloud platforms.

To this end, Hebei will implement three major projects to promote the transformation and upgrading of the steel industry. One is to implement the construction project of a modern data resource system. Establish and improve data resource standards and specifications for the steel industry, and promote the innovative application of big data and artificial intelligence technology.

The second is to implement the digital transformation, upgrading and transformation project. Implement digital transformation of the production system and vigorously promote the "Robot (16.290, 0.00, 0.00)+" and "5G+" actions. By 2022, cultivate more than 15 digital workshops and create more than 3 pilot demonstration projects for intelligent manufacturing.

The third is to implement the digital ecosystem construction project. Accelerate the deployment and commercial promotion of 5G networks in point steel enterprises; Promote the upgrading and transformation of existing network infrastructure with high speed, low power consumption, and high reliability, and promote the demonstration pilot and large-scale promotion of new industrial internet technologies.
